Mahindra has moved forward with its upcoming lineup by patenting the Vision S in India, showcasing a design that closely mirrors the initial concept model. The manufacturer previously showcased its NU_IQ platform-based SUVs on 15 August, 2025, noting that manufacturing is scheduled to commence in 2027. Alongside previous spy sightings and filings for the X, T, and SXT variants, the Vision S has now been officially registered.

Exterior Design and Interior Layout

At the front, the styling remains identical to the concept version, a trait that continues along the profile with matching wheel arches and roof rails. Recent observations of the vehicle revealed a connected tail-light arrangement, which is expected to make it to the final production model. Inside the cabin, several concept features have been kept intact, including vertically styled air conditioning vents and a steering wheel sourced from the BE series, though the steering wheel design might be altered later.

Although official specifications have not been released, the Vision S has also been referred to as the Scorpio Sport in reports, pointing towards a sub-four-metre model variant. Earlier spy media captured a manual transmission alongside a diesel motor setup. Considering the modular nature of the underlying platform, an electric vehicle version may also be under development, indicating that the automotive brand could be preparing a comprehensive powertrain ecosystem for the utility vehicle.
