Royal Enfield has launched the much-awaited Bullet 650 in India at Rs. 3.65 lakh (ex-showroom, Chennai). The motorcycle brings the iconic Bullet badge to the brand’s 650cc platform. Here are the top 5 highlights of the new motorcycle.

The most powerful Bullet ever

The biggest talking point is the 648cc, air/oil-cooled parallel-twin motor. This engine produces 47bhp and 52Nm, and comes paired with a six-speed gearbox with a slip-and-assist clutch. It is the same proven motor seen across Royal Enfield’s other 650cc offerings. It is refined, has ample torque, and makes a great sound.

Classic Bullet styling, now in a bigger package

Royal Enfield has retained the Bullet’s timeless silhouette with design touches such as the hand-painted pinstripes, metal badging, teardrop fuel tank, round headlamp, and chrome-finished pea-shooter exhausts. The design is truly one of its biggest draws, and those looking for a timeless motorcycle will gravitate towards it.

Priced alongside the Classic 650

At Rs. 3.65 lakh, the Bullet 650 is positioned very close to the entry-level variants of the Classic 650. This makes it an interesting alternative for buyers looking for the twin-cylinder Royal Enfield experience with a more traditional design. Plus, the Bullet 650 has a far better seat.

Built on familiar 650cc hardware

The motorcycle uses a dual-cradle frame that is suspended by a telescopic fork and twin rear shock absorbers. It rides on a 19-inch front and 18-inch rear spoke wheel setup, while braking is handled by disc brakes at both ends with dual-channel ABS.

Two colour options at launch

Royal Enfield is offering the Bullet 650 in two colours, Cannon Black and Battleship Blue. Both colours look rich, and the hand-painted stripes add to the visual charm of the bike.
