While the Amateur riders will continue to compete on the GT-R650 like every year, the participants in the Professional category will race on the new Continental GT-R750 race prototype that made its global debut at the EICMA show in Milan, last year. As has been revealed by the brand, it sports race-tuned suspension, superior brakes, lightweight steel twin exhaust pipes, and a new curvier front fairing. The biggest change will be seen in the engine as the bike will be powered by a bigger 750cc parallel-twin motor that is expected to produce around 55bhp and 65Nm.

The road-going production model of the Continental GT 750 has also been spotted undergoing test runs on multiple occasions till now. And the debut of its race prototype at the GT Cup is certainly an indication that the production model will be also be launched soon after the championship, perhaps towards the end of this year.
