Sena 60S EVO with Bose Audio and Lifetime Warranty

Sena has released the 60S EVO as its latest flagship motorcycle communication system. This new model builds on the existing 60S platform further enhancing value by using Sound by Bose technology and the addition of a limited lifetime warranty. Sena has not announced the pricing yet, but it should hit the stores soon. 60S EVO supports both Mesh and Bluetooth intercom allowing unit-to-unit communication without depending on a mobile phone connection. While mesh communication is especially useful for group rides, Bluetooth remains useful for direct pairing, phone calls, music and navigation use.

The 60S EVO improves upon areas that matter most for long-distance riders, that being sound quality, durability, mounting flexibility and long-term support. It uses Sound by Bose technology, along with Bose’s WaveForm Audio Engine and SoundDesign Tuning. This should give the unit a richer and cleaner sound profile tuned specifically for use on a motorcycle. Since helmet audio has to fight wind noise, engine sound, road noise and the closed space inside a helmet, enhanced tuning can make calls, navigation prompts, and music and intercom conversations easier to hear.

The system also supports Sena’s Active Noise Cancellation earbuds. These earbuds are meant to reduce wind and engine noise while keeping rider communication clear. It gives Sena a more complete audio ecosystem, where the communicator and earbuds are designed to work together.

60S EVO is the first product in its line-up to get limited lifetime warranty cover. Motorcycle communicators are often exposed to rain, dust, heat, vibration and rough handling, so buyers at this end of the market expect more than just a long feature list. Lifetime warranty gives the 60S EVO a stronger ownership argument, though do read the fine print carefully first.

It also comes with IPX7 waterproof rating to handle wet riding conditions. There’s an integrated LED flashlight as well which could be handy during night rides, roadside stops or luggage checks in the dark. Sena has also kept the interchangeable faceplates, allowing riders to match the device better with their helmet design.
