Steelbird Helmets has released the new SB-120 starting at Rs. 3,999 for the mono colour and Rs. 4,499 for the decal. This new helmet gets ECE R22.06, DOT FMVSS 218 and ISI IS 4151:2015 approval giving it stronger technical base. Carbon fibre design is more about the visual finish than actual carbon fibre shell, however it does give the helmet a premium look. This will pull in a wider set of buyers without pushing the price too high.

The outer shell is made out of polymer and fibreglass reinforcement helping the helmet maintain structural strength while keeping the weight around 1,500 grams with a variation of 50 grams. There are four sizes on offer, 540mm, 560mm, 580mm and 590mm, along with glossy, matte, decal and carbon fibre design finishes.

Its aerodynamic profile with a rear spoiler allows better airflow management at higher speeds. This becomes more relevant for riders who use their motorcycles for weekend trips or long daily commutes. The inclusion of a genuine Pinlock 30 anti-fog system is another practical feature during rains and winter mornings.

On the inside, the SB-120 has breathable mesh zones, ventilation and removable cheek pads that can be washed. There is also a quick-release cheek pad system designed to help first responders remove the helmet more carefully in case of an emergency. Tinted inner sun visor gives riders an easier way to manage glare during bright daytime riding.

Steelbird is happily offering the SB-120 with both Double D-Ring and Micrometric Buckle retention systems.
