Triumph Tracker 400 Price Hiked in India

  • Price increased by Rs. 3,000
  • Now retails at Rs. 2.49 lakh (ex-showroom)

Triumph Motorcycles has increased the price of the Tracker 400 in India by Rs. 3,000. The motorcycle, which was launched in April this year at an introductory price of Rs. 2.46 lakh (ex-showroom), now retails at Rs. 2.49 lakh (ex-showroom).

The price revision translates to a marginal 1.22 per cent increase over the original asking price. While the Tracker 400 is now slightly more expensive, the hike is unlikely to have any significant impact on the buying decision of prospective customers, especially considering the price is still competitive in the segment.

The Tracker 400 is based on the same 349cc platform as Triumph’s other single-cylinder motorcycles. It is positioned as a modern-retro urban motorcycle with a flat-tracker-like styling. It features the same suspension setup and wheel travel as the Thruxton 400, but gets dual-purpose tyres. It features a sportier riding posture, courtesy of the rear-set footpegs and a lower handlebar, although the ergonomics aren’t as committed as those of the café racer.

Mechanically, the bike is powered by 349cc, liquid-cooled, single-cylinder engine paired with a six-speed gearbox. The engine makes 39.5bhp and 32Nm of peak torque. Despite the revised price, the Tracker 400 continues to offer strong value for money and remains an attractive option in the sub-500cc segment.
