  • Priced at Rs. 1,37,142, ex-showroom
  • IDC range stands at 175km

TVS Motor Company has launched a new variant of its electric scooter, the TVS iQube S, with a bigger 4.7 kWh battery pack. The scooter is priced at Rs. 1,37,142 (effective ex-showroom, Delhi, including subsidies).

The new iQube S gets a larger 4.7kWh battery pack, which delivers an IDC range of 175km on a single charge. This is a significant increment over the older 3.5kWh trim, which was claimed to deliver a range of 145km. Apart from the battery upgrade, the scooter is now offered in two new dual-tone colour options – Purple Beige and Blue Beige.

The bigger weight of the battery pack has also added to the overall weight of the electric scooter. It weighs 128.8kg now, which is close to 10kg heavier than the 3.5kWh iteration. Besides these changes, the electric scooter remains the same in all other aspects. It continues to be powered by a 4.4kW motor, which delivers a top speed of 82kmph and a zero to 40kmph sprint in 4.3 seconds.

The simple yet elegant design and list of features also remain the same as before. It gets a large TFT screen which shows a host of crucial information. Other convenience-oriented bits include a 32-litre underseat storage space, a USB charger, navigation, and smartphone alerts. Riding on 12-inch wheels, it is suspended by telescopic forks and twin shock absorbers while braking is handled by a disc-drum combination.
