TVS iQube S with 4.7kWh Battery launched: Top highlights

The TVS iQube S has been launched in India with a larger 4.7kWh battery pack, giving the electric scooter a substantial boost in its claimed riding range. Here are its top highlights.

Higher range

Priced at Rs. 1.37 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi), the new iQube S now delivers a claimed IDC-certified range of 175km on a single charge. This marks a considerable improvement over the 145km range offered by the outgoing 3.5kWh model. The larger battery pack should make the scooter more appealing to commuters who regularly cover longer distances and want fewer charging stops during the week.

Same motor

The TVS iQube S continues to use the same hub-mounted electric motor that produces 4.4kW of peak power. TVS claims a top speed of 82kmph, while the 0-40kmph sprint comes up in 4.3 seconds.

New colours

TVS has also refreshed the visual appeal of the scooter by introducing two new dual-tone colour options – Purple Beige and Blue Beige. Apart from these additions, the overall styling and bodywork remain unchanged. The iQube S continues to feature a clean and family-oriented design language.

Features

Feature highlights include a large TFT display with smartphone connectivity, turn-by-turn navigation, call and SMS alerts, music controls, and USB charging support. The scooter also offers 32 litres of underseat storage, which continues to be one of its practical features.

The chassis

The addition of the larger battery pack has resulted in a slight increase in the kerb weight, which now stands at 128.8kg. Cycle parts remain unchanged and include telescopic front forks, twin rear shock absorbers, 12-inch wheels, and a braking setup comprising a front disc and a rear drum brake.

Competition check

With the larger battery and improved range, the updated iQube S rivals the Ather Rizta, Bajaj Chetak, and Ola S1 Pro.
