Udhayanidhi Stalin, the multi-talented leader, is not only a prominent political figure but also an accomplished actor and film producer in the Tamil film industry. With his natural acting skills and versatility, he has garnered a massive fan following and has delivered several successful films.
His much-awaited movie, Maamannan, directed by Mari Selvaraj, was recently released, and it has been dominating the box office since day one. The movie features Fahadh Faasil, Udhayanidhi Stalin, and Vadivelu in the lead roles.
Following the success, Udhayanidhi Stalin, the lead actor and producer of the film, gifted a brand new Mini Cooper Countryman to the director Mari Selvaraj. Udayanidhi shared the pictures on Twitter with a heartfelt note, which has gone viral on social media.
This film’s success holds significant meaning for Udhayanidhi as it marks the end of his acting career before retiring. The actor is delighted and overjoyed by the positive response and acclaim he has received from both the viewers and critics.
The pictures shared on social media show the Kalaga Thalaivan actor gifting the Mini Cooper to Mari Selvaraj at his residence. Both the actor and director later posed for pictures along with Mari’s family members.
Speaking of the car, Mini offers the Countryman in two variants, Cooper S and Cooper S JCW. The car’s design stays true to the Mini legacy and retains its iconic shape with a modern approach. The top-end model also gets the JCW Aerodynamics kit and run-flat tyres.
The Countryman houses a 2.0-litre, 4-cylinder, turbo-petrol engine that can produce 189bhp and 280Nm of peak torque. The powertrain is paired with a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. The Cooper S JCW model gets a paddle shifter as well.
The Mini Cooper Countryman has two driving modes: Sport and Green. Mini claims that the all-new Countryman can accelerate from 0-100 km/h in just 7.5 seconds and clock a top speed of 225 km/h.
The interior of the Countryman is draped in Carbon Black leatherette upholstery and piano black panels. In contrast, the JCW variant gets Chester Malt Brown or Chester Satellite Grey leather upholstery and Style Shaded Silver panels.
Inside, the car is equipped with a Harman Kardon audio system, panoramic sunroof, and Mini Wired Package, which includes navigation with a touch controller and Bluetooth. It also has an 8.8-inch infotainment system and a digital instrument cluster with a heads-up display.
The Mini Excitement Pack includes ambient lighting, a puddle light that projects the Mini logo, a picnic bench that conveniently unfolds from the luggage compartment, and an automatic tailgate with the Comfort Access System.
Udhayanidhi Stalin’s gesture of gifting a Mini Cooper Countryman to Mari Selvaraj shows his appreciation and gratitude towards the director for their successful collaboration in “Maamannan.”
However, this is not the first time an actor/producer has given the director a luxury car. Earlier, Kamal Haasan also did a similar gesture by gifting a Lexus sedan to Lokesh Kanagaraj, the director of the blockbuster film Vikram.
