Upcoming Bajaj Adventure Bike Spotted Testing

  • Features a similar silhouette to the KTM 390 Enduro
  • Could be powered by a new KTM-derived engine

An upcoming adventure/dual-sport motorcycle from Bajaj has been spotted testing. Over the years, Bajaj has been absent from the adventure/dual-sport space, but it now seems to be finally entering the segment.

The design looks properly dual-sport-like, with the tall beak-like fender, a slim fuel tank, and the long single-piece seat. At the rear, the tail section is similar to the other bikes in the Pulsar lineup, with the split LED lighting setup. There’s also an upswept exhaust at the rear, giving the bike a rugged look.

Judging by the engine crankcase, the motorcycle appears to be using either a 250cc or 350cc engine. While some elements suggest a possible KTM connection, it is difficult to draw firm conclusions at this stage.

However, as the bike was spotted testing alongside the Pulsar N250, there’s a strong possibility that it could be running the same engine. For reference, the Pulsar N250 is powered by a 249cc, single-cylinder, oil-cooled engine that makes 24.1bhp and 21.5Nm.

It gets the hardware expected of an ADV/dual-sport motorcycle, including long-travel suspension at both ends. The bike features a telescopic fork at the front and a link-type monoshock at the rear.

It rolls on what appears to be a 19-inch front and 17-inch rear spoke wheel setup. However, the likely use of tube-type tyres could be a drawback for riders planning long-distance touring.

The test mule appears to be close to production-ready, and Bajaj could launch the motorcycle by the end of 2026 or early 2027. It could go up against the TVS Apache RTX 300 or be a more affordable alternative to the KTM 390 Adventure in India.
