Upcoming Triumph Bonneville 400 Spied Testing Again

  • Expected to be launched around September 2026
  • Will be powered by a 349cc, liquid-cooled motor.

The Triumph Bonneville 400 appears to be nearing its India launch, as the bike was spotted testing yet again in the country. The bike is on schedule to be launched in India around September 2026.

The upcoming Triumph Bonneville 400 is shaping up to be much more than a retro-styled derivative of the Speed 400. Spy images suggest that the motorcycle will feature a different chassis and a new swingarm. It is also expected to get a redesigned rear subframe to accommodate its flatter bench-style seat, giving the bike a more authentic Bonneville silhouette.

Compared to the Speed 400, the Bonneville 400 also appears to be a noticeably larger and bulkier motorcycle. It gets a larger fuel tank, long and rounded side panels, and chunkier front and rear fenders that significantly enhance its road presence, which should help bring its proportions closer to the Royal Enfield Classic 350. Adding to its old-school charm will be a peashooter exhaust, chrome-finished engine crankcase covers, chrome rear grab rails, and chrome detailing on the exhaust.

The Bonneville 400 will be powered by a 349cc, liquid-cooled, single-cylinder engine. The engine tune is expected to suit the Bonneville’s laid-back, modern-classic character. Triumph has also stayed true to the Bonneville formula by equipping the bike with conventional telescopic front forks, twin rear shock absorbers, and wire-spoke wheels instead of the more modern hardware seen on the Speed.

While the design details are becoming increasingly clear, there is more to the Bonneville 400 than meets the eye. We will bring you exclusive details about its engine specifications and market positioning tomorrow.
