Vespa celebrates 80th anniversary with record-breaking rally in Rome

Vespa marked its 80th anniversary with what is being claimed as the largest Vespa rally ever organised. Vespa says that around 25,000 scooters from 67 countries gathered in Rome, Italy for a massive parade through the city.

The parade passed some of Rome’s most iconic landmarks, including the Colosseum, Piazza Venezia and the Fori Imperiali.

Thousands of spectators lined the streets to watch and photograph Vespas ride down the road. There were Vespas spanning generations from the original 1946 Vespa 98 to modern models such as the modern-day Primavera and GTS.
