Yamaha Track Day Organised in Gurugram

  • Over 200 Yamaha owners participated
  • Training on lines, body position, braking and throttle use

Yamaha arranged a Track Day experience for its customers at the F9 Go Karting Track in Gurugram. The gathering attracted 350 Yamaha fans and more than 200 Yamaha owners from Gurugram and the NCR region. As part of Yamaha’s “The Call of The Blue” campaign the event focused on giving R15 and MT-15 owners a safer and more controlled space to understand basic track skills.

Both YZF-R15 and MT-15 sit at the sporty end of the brand’s 155cc line-up, so it is obvious some track time will surely benefit owners. Riders were taken through a pre-ride session that covered racing lines, body position, lean angles, throttle control and progressive braking. Circuit expertise lend a lot of understanding for road riding.

This is a great way to remind owners that this 155cc platform is not only about daily commuting, but also about control, cornering and rider involvement. Learning how to look through a corner, choose a clean line, move the upper body, brake in a measured way and open the throttle smoothly can make a rider more confident and more aware. Track setting gives riders a place to experience lean and speed without the risks of public roads.

The Gurugram event also had Yamaha apparel and accessories displays, along with photo-op zones for participants.
