Yamaha XSR 155 Price Marginally Increased

  • Entry-level variant’s price unchanged
  • Rs. 1,000 price hike for the rest of the colours
  • Mechanical details remain unchanged

Yamaha Motor India has increased the prices of its small-size modern-retro roadster, the XSR 155. All colour variants of the motorcycle, except for the entry-level Metallic Blue, have become Rs. 1,000 more expensive, and the new prices are applicable from this month. The price hike is attributed to the increase in input and logistical costs. The latest variant-wise prices (ex-showroom) of the motorcycle are mentioned below:

Metallic Blue: Rs. 1,49,990

Vivid Red: Rs. 1,53,990

Metallic Grey: Rs. 1,57,990

Metallic Black & Greyish Green Metallic: Rs. 1,59,990

The price hike is marginal and shouldn’t affect the buying decision of its potential customers. The XSR 155 was extremely popular in India way before it made its debut here. And ever since it has been launched, the sales numbers have been decent. The main talking point of the bike is its design, which takes inspiration from bigger XSR models and looks quite handsome with an upright and proportionate stance, along with good attention to detail.

Powering the Yamaha XSR 155 is a 155cc, liquid-cooled engine with Variable Valve Actuation (VVA). It produces 18.1bhp and 14.2Nm of peak torque. It is paired with a six-speed gearbox that benefits from an assist and slipper clutch. As for technology, it comes equipped with an all-LED lighting setup, digital instrument console, assist and slipper clutch, and dual-channel ABS. You also get Bluetooth connectivity as part of the package. The engine sits inside a Deltabox frame, suspended by USD front forks and a rear monoshock. Braking duties are handled by disc brakes at both ends with dual-channel ABS. It rides on 17-inch alloy wheels shod with tubeless tyres.
