The entry-level variant of this SUV starts at Rs 7.36 lakh (ex-showroom), making it an attractive option for buyers looking to step into the compact SUV segment without spending too much.

Dimensions And Design

The XUV 3XO sits in the sub-four-metre category, meaning it is compact enough for city driving while still offering the high seating position and road presence of an SUV. The car measures 3,990 mm in length, 1,821 mm in width and 1,647 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,600 mm that helps create more space inside the cabin.

Despite its compact size, the SUV offers 364 litres of boot space, which can expand to 1,265 litres when the rear seats are folded. This makes it practical for daily errands as well as weekend trips.

Engine Choices

One of the biggest highlights of the XUV 3XO is its range of engine options. Buyers can choose between two petrol engines and one diesel engine, giving them flexibility depending on their driving needs.

The base engine is a 1.2-litre turbo petrol (TCMPFi) that produces 111 hp and 200 Nm of torque. This engine is paired with a 6-speed manual or automatic transmission, offering a balance between performance and fuel efficiency.

For buyers looking for more performance, Mahindra offers a 1.2-litre TGDi turbo petrol engine producing 131 hp and 230 Nm of torque. Meanwhile, the diesel option is a 1.5-litre turbocharged engine generating 117 hp and 300 Nm of torque, making it one of the most powerful diesel options in the segment. Mileage figures range between 18 kmpl and 21 kmpl depending on the engine and transmission.

Technology

Mahindra has loaded the XUV 3XO with several modern features. Higher variants of the SUV come with twin 10.25-inch displays, one for the infotainment system and another for the fully digital instrument cluster.

The infotainment system supports wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, allowing drivers to easily connect their smartphones. Another standout feature is the panoramic sunroof, which Mahindra claims is one of the largest in its segment. The SUV also offers dual-zone climate control, letting the driver and front passenger set different temperatures for added comfort.

Safety

Safety has become a key selling point for the XUV 3XO. The SUV has achieved a 5-star safety rating from Bharat NCAP, offering strong protection for both adults and children. Standard safety equipment includes six airbags, Electronic Stability Control (ESC), and all-wheel disc brakes across the range.

Higher variants also feature Level 2 ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems), which includes technologies such as adaptive cruise control, forward collision warning, lane keep assist and autonomous emergency braking. A 360-degree camera with blind-view monitor also helps drivers navigate tight parking spaces.

Mahindra has designed the XUV 3XO to appeal to younger buyers and urban families. The SUV offers bold styling, modern technology and powerful engines, while still remaining practical for everyday use.
