New Suzuki Burgman Street Spied Testing; India Launch Tomorrow

  • Features split-LED headlights
  • Styling has been completely overhauled.

A new maxi-scooter has been spied testing in India, and by the looks of it, it is likely to be the next-generation Suzuki Burgman Street. The scooter will be officially launched in India tomorrow.

The spy pictures reveal that the design has been completely revamped. It sports split LED headlamps with DRLs, inspired by the Burgman 750, and a large LED tail lamp, which lends it a big-scooter appearance. Unfortunately, the rear wheel appears to be smaller in size and doesn’t go with the overall proportions of the scooter.

Although the mechanical details aren’t available yet, the new Burgman Street is likely to continue with the same 124cc, single-cylinder motor as the current model. The cycle parts will also be carried over from the current model with telescopic front forks and rear monoshock.

The Suzuki Burgman Street has been around since 2018, and it hasn’t received many visual or mechanical updates over the years. With the generational upgrade, we hope Suzuki addresses this by completely overhauling the new Burgman. That said, we do hope Suzuki introduces a bigger Burgman in India to compete with the likes of the TVS Ntorq 150, Yamaha Aerox 155, and the Hero Xoom 160.
