Ultraviolette Tesseract Electric Scooter Launch in January 2027

The Ultraviolette Tesseract electric scooter is set to launch in January 2027. The company is, in fact, targeting deliveries in January 2027 itself. Deliveries of the Ultraviolette’s highly anticipated scooter was supposed to begin this year but it is now delayed due to a few reasons.

Ultraviolette says that post the unveiling of the concept Tesseract in 2025, they took the scooter to 30 different cities in India to gauge customer response and feedback. On the basis of the same as well as some of the other innovations, a few changes have been made.

The seat of the Tesseract,to begin with has been made wider and has more foam density to seat the rider and pillion comfortably. The floorboard has also been redesigned to offer more space while also making it easier for short riders to place their feet on the ground.

While these are the visual changes, there is a lot that has changed underneath. The Tesseract has now moved to a 100V architecture and the company claims that this is the first electric scooter in India to feature such an architecture.

The advantages lie in better thermal management, higher continuous power, and lower cost. It also allows for faster charging and three times more power.

The BMS, or battery management system, has also been newly developed. It is significantly smaller and lighter at 2.5kg in comparison to the BMS seen in the Ultraviolette X-47.

All these changes have added time to the Tesseract’s development and hence the delay in launch.

The production-spec Tesseract will also be among the most powerful scooters on sale, courtesy of its 15kW motor. The claimed top speed, meanwhile, is 125km/h. The scooter will come with features such as ABS, traction control, and radar-based assistance to alert the rider about vehicles in the mirrors’ blind spot.

The Tesseract will be available in three battery capacities- 3.5kWh, 4kWh, and 6kWh. Prices will begin at Rs. 1.45 lakh, ex-showroom.
