Royal Enfield Bear 650 Gets Useful Touring Add-Ons from Kappa

  • Touring accessories for the Bear 650
  • Rear rack, top case, side case holder, backrest and windscreen

Royal Enfield Bear 650 has received a new range of Kappa accessories in Europe to enhance touring comfort. Bear 650 may still be a scrambler at heart, but many owners are likely to use it for daily rides, weekend touring and light trails. Kappa’s new kit offers luggage and comfort parts, including a rear rack, a new K’BOX top case, side case holder, passenger backrest and a compact windscreen. For now the accessories are listed for the Italian market, but Indian aftermarket suppliers will soon be able to offer these in India.

The KR9063 rear rack has been designed to take Monokey or Monolock top cases and is compatible with KM5, KM7, KM5M and KM6M plates. Kappa says it has been shaped to suit the Royal Enfield design language keeping the rear section clean when the top case is removed.

New 37-litre K’BOX top case is made from technopolymer and weighs 3kg keeping it fairly light for its size. The case gets Kappa’s Crablock direct-pressure opening and closing system, along with a quick-release setup that allows removal from the plate only when the lid is open. 37-litre capacity should be enough for daily luggage, rain gear, small travel bags or a helmet, depending on shape and size.

For pillion comfort Kappa is offering the K645 polyurethane backrest. This small accessory will be useful for riders who plan weekend trips with a passenger. The Bear 650 is not a full touring motorcycle so comfort upgrades like this can support longer touring ambitions.

The KLO9063MK side case holder uses an 18mm tubular steel structure and is configured as a PL ONE-FIT system for Monokey side cases. Its mounts are designed to sit close to the motorcycle’s profile and reduce side bulk. Wide pannier mounts can make a motorcycle awkward inside cities, so a cleaner fit will be important.

6407AK windscreen is also a compact addition for the Bear. It measures 26cm high and 37cm wide and should reduce some wind pressure around the chest area. The design also works with the round headlamp preserving the motorcycle’s old-school front-end look.
