New Kawasaki KX327, KX327X Unveiled with Fuel-injected 2-stroke Motor

Kawasaki has unveiled two new off-road motorcycles for 2027, the KX327 and KX327X. The highlight of both models is an all-new 327cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled, fuel-injected, two-stroke engine, marking Kawasaki’s first newly developed two-stroke motorcycle above 250cc in more than two decades.

The Kawasaki KX327 and KX327X are built around an aluminium perimeter frame derived from the KX450F and tip the scales at a claimed 106kg. Kawasaki claims the new fuel-injection system is designed to deliver more precise fuelling across varying temperatures and altitudes while retaining the sharp throttle response and character expected from a high-performance two-stroke engine.

While both motorcycles share the same engine and chassis, they cater to different riding styles. The KX327 is aimed at motocross use and comes with a close-ratio five-speed gearbox and a 19-inch rear wheel. Meanwhile, the KX327X is aimed towards cross-country and trail riding, featuring a wide-ratio six-speed transmission, an 18-inch rear wheel, a larger 8.3-litre fuel tank, handguards, bash plate, rear disc guard, and a side stand.

Suspension duties are handled by a KYB 48mm USD fork and Kawasaki’s Uni-Trak rear monoshock, while braking hardware includes Nissin calipers paired with 270mm front and 240mm rear petal discs. Both bikes also get an electric starter and two selectable engine power modes.

In the US, the KX327 is priced at USD 9,099 (approximately Rs. 8.71 lakh), while the KX327X costs USD 9,699 (approximately Rs. 9.28 lakh). Both models are expected to go on sale towards the end of 2026.
