TVS Crosses 3 Lakh Electric Scooter Sales in 2026

TVS has crossed the three lakh electric scooter sales milestone in the first seven months of 2026. The company retailed over 3.07 lakh EVs between January and July this year.

With this achievement, TVS has already reached around 97 per cent of the 3.15 lakh electric two-wheelers it sold in 2025. It has also become the fastest electric two-wheeler maker in India to cross three lakh retail sales within a calendar year.

For comparison, Ola Electric had crossed the same milestone in a little over eight months in 2024, when it was the market leader. TVS’ strongest month so far this year came in July, when it sold 55,465 electric scooters. The company had previously crossed the 50,000-unit mark in March, recording sales of 51,632 units.

TVS has retained the top spot in India’s electric two-wheeler market after the first seven months of 2026. Meanwhile, Bajaj Auto ranks second with retail sales of 2.64 lakh electric two-wheelers during the same period, around 43,400 units behind TVS. Bajaj’s January-July 2026 sales are equivalent to roughly 94 per cent of the 2.79 lakh units it retailed in 2025.

Meanwhile, Ather Energy occupies the third position with sales of just over two lakh electric two-wheelers between January and July. The company has already achieved around 93 per cent of its total 2025 sales volume of 2.15 lakh units.
