2027 Suzuki GSX-R600 and GSX-R750 Still Refreshingly Old-School

  • Both get Candy Daring Red and Metallic Matte Black No.2 colours
  • Engines, chassis and most of the equipment remain unchanged for 2027

Suzuki GSX-R600 and GSX-R750 have been updated for the 2027 model year for the US market. But there aren’t many changes to the recipe, Suzuki has always kept these to fairly simple and raw. Hence there is something rather appealing about seeing these two traditional inline-four supersports survive for another year. Imagine if we had these firecrackers in India.

Both bikes are offered in Candy Daring Red and Metallic Matte Black No.2. The outgoing bikes used two-tone combinations whereas the new versions move towards cleaner individual colour themes.

No surprise on how little else has changed under the fuel tank. 2027 GSX-R600 still has the same 599cc liquid-cooled four-cylinder in-line screamer with a back-torque-limiting clutch designed to make hard downshifts smoother when entering a hot corner. GSX-R750 has its legendary 750cc inline-four walking that tasty middle ground between a 600cc supersport and a litre-class monster. There are only three kilograms separating the 600 and the 750, GSX-R600 weighs 187kg while the GSX-R750 comes in at 190kg.

Both motorcycles use aluminium twin-spar frames, Showa Big Piston Forks and adjustable rear shocks as earlier. The GSX-R750 additionally has an electronically controlled steering damper to reduce steering effort at lower speeds while adding damping as speeds rise.

The basic electronics include a Suzuki Drive Mode Selector providing two engine maps, and the instrument cluster combines an analogue tachometer with an LCD. There is a lap timer, programmable shift light and gear-position indicator. Just about enough, and we love that.
