About BMW iX
Based on the iNext concept revealed in 2017, will be launching its all-electric car, the , in India on 13 December 2021. The SUV is likely to be available in three or four variants including the M Sport trim.
The all-electric iX features a novel exterior styling. This refreshed design includes a new taller grille, split LED headlights, daytime running lights and LED rear lights. Although the grille does not act as an air inlet, it houses a camera, radars and sensors behind the 3D-patterned surface. Besides, the iX uses wheels ranging from 20 to 22 inches, depending on the variant.
Like the exterior, the cabin of the iX also bears futuristic design elements. To start with, there is a new hexagonal-steering wheel and a 12.3-inch digital driver display fused with a larger 14.9-inch infotainment touchscreen. Apart from that, the dashboard is uncluttered and only comprises air-con vents and a couple of switches. Meanwhile, BMW will offer vegan upholstery and various interior colour choices in the iX.
The iX comes with two different battery packs: 71kWh and 105.2kWh. Of the two battery sizes, the former makes 322bhp/630Nm with a range of up to 425km, as per WLTP. Meanwhile, the biggest one provides a WLTP certified range of up to 631km on a single charge. It is capable of generating 516bhp/765Nm.
