Viaterra LFA XC Rackless Saddlebags Review

Introduction

Want motorcycle luggage for a long road trip? Something that’s light, easily transferable from one motorcycle to another — or even a scooter — and easy to strap on? Then rackless saddlebags are the way to go. These don’t need saddle stays, rarely foul with exhausts, and are two-wheeler genre agnostic.

Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 Right Front Three Quarter

We picked Viaterra’s new LFA XC rackless saddlebags for our seven-day ride across the Himalayas. One, because we have used enough of Viaterra’s products to know they work as advertised and hold up through ups and downs, falls, and neglect. Two, we wanted something light, waterproof, sturdy, and capable of fitting on any motorcycle in case we had to swap our rented Himalayan 450 for something else.

As it turned out, these proved to be great companions.
