Lamborghini Launches Its 920-HP Huracan Replacement In India

The Lamborghini Temerario has been launched in India at an ex-showroom price of Rs 6 crore. The has made landfall in our country nine months after its global debut. As a new-generation model, it is vastly different from its predecessor, not just in design but also in terms of its powertrain. Huracan’s naturally aspirated 5.2-litre V10 makes way for a new twin-turbocharged V8 synced with a plug-in-hybrid system.

Lamborghini Temerario: Engine Specifications

Temerario’s 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 engine cranks out 800 hp and 730 Nm of peak torque. The plug-in hybrid system adds three electric motors, taking the total system output to 920 hp and 800 Nm of peak torque. Lamborghini says the Temerario can sprint from 0 to 100 km/h in 2.7 seconds and can breach 340 km/h. Transmission duties are handled by an 8-speed dual-clutch automatic.

Being a plug-in hybrid, the Temerario comes with a 3.8 kWh battery pack. This can either be charged via regenerative braking or directly from the twin-turbo V8.

Lamborghini has made the Temerario’s cabin a nice place to be in. It comes with the brand’s signature aircraft-themed design. There is a 12.3-inch floating instrument cluster, an 8.4-inch touchscreen central display, and a 9.1-inch display for the passenger. The feature list of the Temerario includes 18-way power-adjustable seats that come with heating and ventilation. It also comes with augmented-reality navigation and an onboard dashcam.
