LIQUI MOLY Releases New Motorcycle Coolants

  • Hybrid and OAT ready-mix motorcycle coolants
  • Ethylene glycol-based; sold in one-litre cans

LIQUI MOLY has launched two new motorcycle-specific coolants for riders across global markets called Motorbike Coolant Ready Mix Hybrid and Motorbike Coolant Ready Mix OAT. Both are pre-mixed ready-to-use coolants based on ethylene glycol and come with a 50:50 mixing ratio. Pricing and availability for the Indian market are not out yet, but since the company has strong aftermarket presence in the country, they’ll soon be available here.

This is the first time LIQUI MOLY has introduced coolants developed specifically for motorcycles understanding high-performance machines need stable engine temperatures in very different riding conditions. Stop-go traffic, long highway runs, hot weather and slow rough sections can all put pressure on the cooling system. A correct coolant is therefore is an important part of engine protection.

Motorbike Coolant Ready Mix Hybrid and Motorbike Coolant Ready Mix OAT both protect against overheating, freezing, and corrosion. They are suitable for year-round use for both hot summers and cold riding conditions. In India, the frost-protection side may not matter to most riders outside high-altitude regions but heat control and corrosion protection are very relevant. Indian traffic and weather can be demanding on liquid-cooled engines, particularly during summer city rides.

OAT version uses organic acid technology and is silicate-free especially suitable for modern high-performance aluminium engines. This makes it more relevant for newer motorcycles where engine materials, radiator design and service specifications demand a specific coolant type. You will need to match the coolant to the manufacturer’s recommendation.

Both products are amine-free, phosphate-free and nitrite-free. OAT version is also free from borates. LIQUI MOLY recommends the new coolants for vehicles that require ASTM D3306/D4656, British Standard BS6580 and JASO M325 specifications. The Hybrid coolant is also suitable where BMW GS 94000, French Standard NFR 15-601, G11 and Swiss Fed. Lab. Empa specifications are required.
