About Mahindra Thar Roxx
Model launch date:
The Mahindra Thar Roxx was launched in India on 14 August, 2024.
Feature list:
On the outside, the Thar Roxx sports a longer 2,850mm wheelbase and added length. Further, it rides on 19-inch alloy wheels and gets a new body-coloured front grille, LED fog lamps, and LED headlamps with integrated C-shaped daytime running lights.
Inside, the cabin of the Roxx comes equipped with a larger 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system, digital instrument cluster, electronic parking brake, Harman Kardon sound system, 360-degree camera, reclining bench seats for the second row with folding armrest, Level 2 ADAS, and a panoramic sunroof.
Engine, performance, and specifications:
The Thar Roxx is offered with two engine options – a 2.2-litre diesel engine and a 2.0-litre petrol unit. The former produces 173bhp and 370Nm of torque, whereas the petrol puts out 173bhp and 380Nm of peak torque. Both engines can be had with six-speed manual and six-speed torque converter automatic gearboxes. It can be had in rear-wheel drive and 4×4 configurations.
Variants:
The Mahindra Thar Roxx is available in MX1, MX3, AX3L, MX5, AX5L, and AX7L variants.
Safety:
The Thar Roxx has not been crash-tested yet by any NCAP body.
Competition:
The Mahindra Thar Roxx goes up against the Maruti Suzuki Jimny and the Force Gurkha.
