About Mahindra XEV 9e

Back in August, Mahindra pulled the wraps off its range of new electric SUVs. The Indian utility vehicle manufacturer has partnered with Volkswagen to develop the INGLO skateboard platform which underpins two new electric sub-brands – XUV.e and BE.

The Mahindra XUV.e sub-brand will include two models – XUV.e8 and XEV 9e. The upcoming Mahindra XEV 9e is due for launch in India in April 2025 and is based on the new Heartcore design philosophy.

In terms of dimensions, the Mahindra XEV 9e has a length of 4,790mm, a width of 1,905mm, and a height of 1,690mm. The SUV’s wheelbase stands at 2,775mm. The fascia is highlighted by long vertically stacked DRLs on both ends which are connected by a sleek horizontal strip. The SUV gets a coupe-like sloping roofline and a panoramic sky roof. As for the rear, it gets sleek LED taillights that run across the length of the boot lid and are complemented by the twin peak logo in copper.

As for the interior, it gets an uncluttered and futuristic dashboard layout. Further, the electric SUV will get premium upholstery and a head-up display. In terms of safety, the vehicle will offer multiple airbags, ABS with EBD, traction control, ADAS, and L2+ autonomous driving.

The new INGLO platform uses Blade and Prismatic batteries in the range of 60-80kWH. The power output figures will vary between 170-290kWh and will be capable of sprinting from zero to 100kmph in under six seconds. Moreover, the INGLO platform will spawn AWD options and multiple drive modes.
