Mercedes-Benz India Hikes Prices Of Its Most Popular Luxury Car In India

Mercedes-Benz has announced an immediate price adjustment for select variants of its E-Class model. This revision impacts the E200 and E220d variants, each experiencing a price increment of Rs 1 lakh. Consequently, the revised ex-showroom prices are Rs 79.5 lakh and Rs 82.5 lakh, respectively. The E450 4Matic variant retains its existing price of Rs 92.5 lakh.

Mercedes-Benz E-Class: Interior

The latest generation Mercedes-Benz E-Class interior showcases the Superscreen, comprising a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, a 14.4-inch central infotainment touchscreen, and a dedicated 12.3-inch passenger entertainment display.

The cabin is further enhanced by 64-colour ambient lighting, four-zone climate control, a panoramic sunroof, dual wireless phone charging, electrically adjustable front seats with memory function, and a 730-watt Burmester sound system.

Mercedes-Benz E-Class: Engine

The E-Class is available in three variants, encompassing both petrol and diesel powertrains. The diesel option features a 2.0-litre four-cylinder engine, delivering 194 bhp and 440 Nm of torque. Petrol configurations include a 2.0-litre four-cylinder engine producing 201 bhp and 320 Nm of torque, and a 3.0-litre six-cylinder engine generating 375 bhp and 500 Nm of torque.

All E-Class variants, including the E 450, are assembled domestically in India. The E-Class, a leading seller for Mercedes-Benz India, has seen increased popularity with its long-wheelbase configuration. However, it faces direct competition from the newly introduced 5 Series long-wheelbase, specifically designed for the Indian market.
