Discontinued In India

Launched in December 2022, the GLB was on sale for a little over two years. The Mercedes-Benz GLB entered the market with boxy proportions that echoed the design language of the larger GLS, aiming to capture a similar appeal within a more compact footprint. However, it was unable to replicate the commercial success of its flagship counterpart. Although Mercedes-Benz has not issued an official statement regarding the discontinuation of the GLB in India, it is speculated that subdued sales performance played a role in this decision.

It was the most affordable 7-seater luxury SUV available in India at launch, priced between Rs 63.80 lakh and Rs 69.80 lakh (ex-showroom), positioning it below the Land Rover Discovery Sport by Rs 1.6 to Rs 7.6 lakh. Notably, the all-electric Mercedes EQB, also launched in December 2022, remains on sale. Its facelifted EQB 250+ and EQB 350 variants are priced at Rs 72.20 lakh and Rs 78.90 lakh, respectively.
