MV Agusta F3 R is a Forbidden Fruit that Should Return to India

  • 798cc three-cylinder engine makes 146.5bhp
  • Full electronics suite comes standard

MV Agusta’s F3 R middleweight supersport contender has been recently updated along with the full electronics package as standard fit. The company wants to present the F3 R as a complete package from the start. Although Indian market saw this Italian for some time, we think this little Italian crotch rocket should come back with a stronger partner.

MV Agusta Right Front Three Quarter

The 798cc inline three-cylinder screamer produces 146.5bhp of power which is good for most use, road or track. It also complies with Euro 5+ norms whilst being sharp and high-revving that long defined this model. The other technical highlight is the counter-rotating crankshaft designed to improve agility, handling precision and stability.

MV Agusta Riding

F3 R gets the brand’s signature single-sided swingarm and a committed riding position meant for both road and track use. The styling, too, stays close to the company’s awesome racing identity. What strengthens the F3 R’s case further is the level of standard equipment. The motorcycle comes with a 6-axis inertial platform and four riding modes, Rain, Sport, Race and Custom. It also gets eight-level traction control, wheelie control, launch control, cornering ABS, rear wheel lift-up mitigation and even cruise control. It has a 5.5-inch TFT display backed by MV Ride App with added navigation, route recording duties and bike setup functions.

There is a new 9-disc slipper clutch with torque assist. This will be able to reduce clutch effort by 50 percent compared to the previous version. A quick-shifter is obviously part of the standard package.
