Two-wheeler division of Japanese automaker Suzuki in India, Suzuki Motorcycle India Pvt. Ltd. (SMIPL), yesterday announced that the company has crossed the 8 million production mark in the country. Announcing this the company also revealed that in celebration of this feat they have rolled out special offers for customers for a limited time period.
Suzuki Motorcycle India is celebrating 8 million production mark in the Indian market. The company commenced operations in India back in February 2006 at its Kherki Dhaula in Gurgaon with the production of the Access 125 scooter. The company achieved the 4 million production milestone in India in its first 13 years and has achieved the next 4 million in less than 6 years. The company has crossed the 8 million production mark in the 19th year of its operation in the Indian market.
Commenting on the occasion, Kenichi Umeda, Managing Director, Suzuki Motorcycle India said, “Reaching the 8-million-unit production milestone is a testament to SMIPL’s manufacturing capability. In celebration of crossing the 8 million production milestone the company has rolled out limited period offers for its customers. The offers rolled out by the company include special service & sales offers and finance option offering 8 percent rate of interest, these offers will be available from April 20th till 30th across all authorized Suzuki dealerships.
