Toyota Hilux Black Edition Launched: Shows The ‘Dark Side’ Of The Rugged Pickup

Toyota has launched the Hilux Black Edition India. This special edition of the rugged pickup is available at an ex-showroom price of Rs 37.90 lakh. The standard version differs from the Hilux Black Edition in that it has cosmetic updates on the exterior and interior. No change has been made to the 2.8-litre diesel powerhouse under the Hilux’s bonnet.

The Black Edition has a black radiator grille, 18-inch black alloy wheels, and bespoke web caps. The wing mirrors, door handles, fender garnish, and fuel lid have also been coloured black. This is complemented by an exclusive black paint scheme. Besides these, no other changes have been made to the pickup’s exterior.

Black Edition: Interior

The cabin remains untouched in terms of design. The seats are upholstered in black leather, and the panels feature a black theme. Like the standard version, the Black Edition comes with tons of features. The list includes dual-zone automatic climate control, an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment unit, Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity, an 8-way power adjustable driver’s seat, push-button stop-start, cruise control, and a lot more.

Toyota has left the 2.8-litre turbocharged four-cylinder diesel engine untouched. It continues to produce 201 hp and 500 Nm of peak torque. It pairs with a 6-speed automatic transmission and sends power to all four wheels through a full-time 4×4 system.
