Traffic around Ghaziabad temple to be rerouted for Shivratri

GHAZIABAD: The traffic police have issued a diversion notice ahead of Mahashivratri on Feb 26.
Traffic will be rerouted from 6pm on Feb 25 and continue till 12am on Feb 27. Lakhs of devotees are likely to visit the Dudheshwar Nath Temple on Feb 26, traffic police officers said. Movement of all vehicles will be completely restricted between Gaushala Fatak and the temple.
Piyush Singh, ADCP (traffic), said movement of all types of heavy/medium commercial vehicles will be restricted between Lal Kuan and the new bus stand.
“All types of heavy/medium commercial vehicles from Lal Kuan towards Meerut Tiraha will be diverted from Sajan Mod to Shyama Prasad Mukherjee Park Chauraha to Vivekanand Nagar Flyover to Hapur Chungi to ALT Chauraha via Meerut Road and will go towards Meerut Tiraha.

Similarly, all types of heavy/medium commercial vehicles moving from Meerut Tiraha towards Lal Kuan will be diverted from Meerut Tiraha to Meerut Road to Hapur Chungi to Vivekanand Nagar Flyover to Sajan Mod and towards Lal Kuan,” he said.
During this period, the movement of light commercial vehicles will be completely restricted between Chaudhary Mod and Hapur Tiraha. They will be required to take the Chaudhary Mod via Ambedkar Road to Old Bus Stand to Hapur Road to Hapur Tiraha. Similarly, light commercial vehicles moving from New Bus Stand towards Lal Kuan will not use Patel Nagar Flyover, but will go to their destinations from Hapur Tiraha to Hapur Road, to Old Bus Stand to Ambedkar Road to Chaudhary Mod.
Movement of all types of heavy/medium commercial vehicles from Hapur Chungi towards Hapur Tiraha will be completely restricted. All the above vehicles will go to their destination via ALT Chauraha to Meerut Road.
“Movement of all types of vehicles will be restricted from the Old Bus Stand towards Hapur Tiraha,” the ADCP said.
