  • Features the classic Bonneville styling

  • Expected to be launched during the festive period

The Triumph Bonneville 400 has been spied testing in India yet again ahead of its launch. The test prototype reveals key details about the retro classic motorcycle.

The baby Bonnie appears to be running a different chassis and a new swingarm, similar to the bigger Bonneville’s. An earlier spy picture has revealed that the Bonneville 400 will get chrome detailing for its engine crank case, rear grab rails, and the exhaust.

The Bonneville 400 appears to be larger in size compared to the other Triumph 400 bikes. It also gets more bulk, courtesy of the large fuel tank, long and rounded mudguards, and the boxy side panels. It also features a peashooter exhaust to go with Bonnie’s classic aesthetic.

The India-spec bike will be powered by a 349cc, liquid-cooled engine, but it is likely to be offered in a different state of tune to suit the motorcycle’s modern-retro character. Triumph has maintained its heritage with the Bonneville 400 by offering traditional cycle parts such as telescopic front forks, twin shock absorbers, and wire-spoke wheels.

As we revealed in our exclusive story, the upcoming Triumph Bonneville 400 is expected to be launched in India around September-October 2026.
