The Triumph Tracker 400 is an uncommon kind of motorcycle, especially in the 400cc space. With its flat tracker-inspired styling, the motorcycle truly stands out visually. And we recently rode it to figure out whether it is any good to ride and whether it deserves your money. The Tracker 400 stands out with its flat-track-inspired styling, featuring a flat handlebar, number boards, slim tail, and chunky tyres.

Build quality is excellent, with high-quality paint, switchgear, and plastics that feel premium.

It has a lower, wider handlebar and rear-set footpegs, giving it a sportier riding position than the Speed 400. The 805mm seat height is accessible, making it easy for most riders to plant both feet on the ground.

The 349cc engine is smooth, refined, and enjoyable to ride, although it isn’t as powerful as the global-spec 398cc version. The engine offers good low-end performance for city riding, but the midrange feels flat before power builds strongly above 6,500rpm.

The Tracker 400 handles exceptionally well, feeling agile, stable, and confidence-inspiring through corners. The suspension is on the firmer side, especially at the rear, so sharp bumps and potholes are more noticeable.

It gets LED lighting, ride-by-wire, traction control, dual-channel ABS, and a semi-digital display, but misses features like a TFT screen, Bluetooth connectivity, quickshifter, and cruise control.

Overall, the Tracker 400 is a distinctive and fun motorcycle with sharp handling and a refined engine, making it a great option for riders looking for something different.
