Oben Electric Customers Have Covered Over 3.2 Crore Km

Oben Electric riders have together covered more than 3.2 crore kilometres on Indian roads within two years of the brand’s national rollout. Pointing towards a clear trend of customers using Oben motorcycles as their main vehicle for daily commuting also means depends on ICE commuters to be reducing.

These numbers have been pulled from Oben vehicles from across the country since early 2024 including usage from the brand’s Rorr range, including the Rorr, Rorr EZ and Rorr EZ Sigma. These motorcycles have been used across cities in different traffic conditions, road surfaces and weather patterns from different markets. The cumulative distance also suggests that owners are not treating these motorcycles as occasional second vehicles, but are instead depending on them for routine urban commute.

Oben Electric currently has its presence in more than 85 cities and the company’s growing rider base has played a key role in crossing this milestone. Karnataka, Uttar Pradesh and Delhi have been major contributors to the total distance logged. This, in turn, underlines the traction the company is seeing in important city markets where daily commuting remains the biggest use case for electric two-wheelers.

The data also shows that usage of EVs has translated into notable savings for customers. Oben claims its riders have together saved Rs. 8 crore in petrol expenses. At the same time, it estimates a reduction of 385 metric tonnes of CO2 emissions. These figures are being used by the company to highlight the running cost advantage and lower environmental impact of electric motorcycles in everyday use.

Supporting this is Oben Care, the brand’s after-sales programme aimed at making ownership easier for customers who rely on these motorcycles regularly. Oben says the setup includes an expanding service network, trained technicians, and round-the-clock customer support. The idea is to keep the motorcycles ready for daily use while improving service access across markets.

Madhumita Agrawal, Founder and CEO of the company mentions that daily commuting requires consistency, reliability, and confidence in ownership. She added that customers covering over 3.2 crore kilometres across different cities and riding conditions shows that Oben motorcycles are becoming a practical part of everyday mobility for real Indian road conditions.

The milestone comes at a time when the company is witnessing consistent growth in its segment. Oben Electric recorded 376 percent year-on-year growth in CY2025 attributing to its wider market reach and rising customer adoption. It also plans to expand its retail network to 500 showrooms over the next two years to improve access to both its motorcycles and service support.

Oben also highlights its success to its vertically integrated manufacturing approach. The company develops several core EV components in-house, including its LFP battery systems, motors, vehicle control units and fast chargers at its 3.5-acre facility in Bengaluru. It also says the plant operates with more than 50 quality checks and a straight pass ratio of 95 percent to maintain consistency and reliability across its products.
