Vespa to Celebrate 80th Anniversary with Four-Day Festival in Rome

The Piaggio Group has announced a special celebration to mark the 80th anniversary of the Vespa, which will take place in Rome, Italy, from June 25 to June 28, 2026.

Called ‘Vespa Roma 2026 – 80 Years of an Icon’, the event is expected to be the largest Vespa gathering ever, bringing together enthusiasts and Vespa Clubs from around the world.

The four-day festival will be held at the Foro Italico and Stadio dei Marmi. The venue will be transformed into a dedicated Vespa Village featuring historic and modern Vespa models, lifestyle merchandise, exhibitions, entertainment programmes, and activities for visitors. Thousands of Vespa owners from more than 60 countries are expected to participate in the celebrations.

The festivities will begin with the official inauguration of the Vespa Village. The opening day will also include the unveiling of a commemorative coin issued by the Italian Ministry of Economy and Finance, a special postal cancellation ceremony, and the launch of an exhibition showcasing 80 years of Vespa history and design.

The following days will feature a range of activities, including the European Vespa Rally Championship, the Gymkhana World Championship, live entertainment, and community events.

One of the key highlights will be the Grand Parade, when thousands of Vespas from different eras will ride through Rome’s iconic landmarks.

The celebrations will conclude with the traditional Elegance Contest, which will showcase some rare, and some collectible Vespa models.
