Upcoming KTM 790 Adventure Spotted Testing Abroad

  • Features a different headlight setup
  • Gets a slimmer profile tank and bodywork
  • Gets WP brake callipers at both ends

The upcoming KTM 790 Adventure has been spotted testing abroad, and the new set of spy shots reveals some interesting changes. The bike features styling revisions compared to the currently available model and appears significantly slimmer, judging by the spy shots.

The test mule features a compact headlight section, with an LED projector headlight and DRLs. Compared to the current KTM 790 Adventure, the test mule looks more modern and in line with what we have seen on other KTM bikes.

The fuel tank and bodywork look slimmer than those on the current-gen KTM 790 Adventure, giving the test mule a sportier look. However, KTM could still make some more changes to the bike’s design, adding more components.

Powering the upcoming bike could be the same 799cc, liquid-cooled, parallel-twin engine producing 93bhp and 87Nm. Like the other test mules that we have seen being tested by KTM, this one also features WP brake callipers.

Features-wise, the test mule appears to use the same 5-inch TFT display as the current-gen 790. It will likely offer features such as smartphone connectivity for navigation and call/SMS alerts.

KTM has not given any clear idea as to when it plans to launch the model, but judging by the images, the bike looks close to production-ready.
