Ampere Crosses 4 Lakh Sales

  • Sold over 4 lakh electric scooters in India
  • 51% year-on-year growth in FY26

Ampere’s electric scooters have crossed the milestone of 4 lakh retails manufactured and sold in India. This shows how the practical side of the market is now becoming stronger. Ampere has built much of its recent growth around the mass electric scooter space, especially the sub-Rs. 1 lakh segment.

Greaves Electric Mobility says that Ampere recorded 51 percent year-on-year growth in FY26 with its market share rising from 3.6 percent in FY25 to 4.4 percent in FY26. Since established two-wheeler makers, EV-first start-ups and new regional players are all fighting for the same buyer, steady growth is a good thing.

The company also notes that its scooters are based on 100 percent LFP (Lithium Ferro Phosphate) battery chemistry valued for safety, thermal stability and longer life cycles. With claims of the lifecycle of up to around 2,00,000km, battery safety remains one of the biggest concerns for EV buyers. So the LFP angle suits buyers who want peace of mind more than extreme performance.
