Ather Now Available through CSD for Armed Forces

• Eight Ather 450 and Rizta variants approved for CSD sales
• Will receive additional discounts
• Sales are expected to begin in September 2026

Ather Energy scooters will soon be available through the Canteen Stores Department CSD giving eligible Armed Forces personnel another route to purchase the company’s electric scooters. Sales are expected to begin in September 2026 with eight variants from the 450 and Rizta families approved for the platform.

Purchases made through CSD will receive special discounts from Ather in addition to the GST benefits already applicable through the platform. This should create a lower effective purchase cost for eligible buyers compared with a normal retail transaction, although Ather has not yet disclosed the variant-wise savings.

Ather says eight variants across its two main scooter families have been listed. The 450 Apex is the only model specifically excluded from the CSD programme.

CSD purchases already benefit from a different taxation structure, and Ather says it will add its own special discount on top. Buyers will have to wait until Ather publishes the exact CSD prices before the savings can be properly calculated.
