Dainese Releases New Ventar Air Tex Mesh Riding Jacket

Dainese Ventar Air Tex is a new men’s textile jacket blending appearance and riding fit of sports equipment with the ventilation needed for daily riding. The jacket uses large mesh sections to allow air to move through the jacket. Stretch fabric panels have also been included to improve movement around the shoulders, arms and torso. Dainese says this jacket has been shaped around a mildly forward-leaning posture. The combination makes it a lot relevant for India where riders often need useful protection without the weight and heat.

There is also an added removable windproof inner layer which can be fitted when the weather turns cooler or when sustained highway speeds make the airflow uncomfortable. Not turning it into winter equipment, but it makes the Ventar Air Tex more adaptable than a basic summer mesh jacket.

Protection is provided by Dainese Pro-Armor protectors at the shoulders and elbows. Both are certified to Level 2 under the EN 1621.1 standard, and the complete jacket carries Class A certification under the EN 17092 European standard. It sits below the more demanding AA and AAA categories, but its lighter construction is better suited to hot-weather road use. The aluminium shoulder plates are another link to Dainese’s racing equipment. They can be replaced if damaged and add a harder external surface over the shoulder area.

Additional protection is optional with the jacket offering dedicated spaces for compatible Dainese back and two-piece chest protectors. It is also designed to be worn with the company’s Smart Air airbag system. Internal attachments help keep the airbag vest correctly positioned beneath the jacket, although the airbag itself must be purchased separately. There is also an included zip system for attaching compatible riding trousers.

Current colour choices include Black, Anthracite and White, along with Black, White and Red. The possibility of local availability is stronger as India is a supported market and identifies a Dainese retail location in Bengaluru.
