Indian Motorcycle Unveils Limited Signature Series

Indian Motorcycle Signature Series comes as a limited collection of four premium baggers and touring motorcycles including the Indian Challenger, Chieftain PowerPlus, Indian Pursuit and Roadmaster PowerPlus. To be made in limited numbers, not sure if some of these are reserved for the Indian market.

Created during Indian Motorcycle’s 125th anniversary year, the Signature Series has been produced in extremely limited numbers with greater attention given to the paint layers, surface transitions and finishing details across the bodywork. Sitting alongside the separate 125th Anniversary Collection, the Signature Series focuses entirely on the modern PowerPlus family. It aims towards buyers who prefer performance baggers and large touring motorcycles over heritage-led designs.

The central change is the more elaborate finish. Chieftain PowerPlus Signature Series, for example, uses Abyss Metallic as its dark base colour, accompanied by Venom Green and Cypher Green detailing. The layered graphics run across the fairing, fuel tank, and luggage panels. All four motorcycles use the liquid-cooled PowerPlus 112 V-twin engine. This 1,834cc engine produces 126bhp and nearly an astounding 180Nm of peak torque.

Indian Challenger and Chieftain PowerPlus sit at the bagger side of the collection. The Challenger uses a chassis-mounted fairing, while the Chieftain has a fork-mounted fairing. Indian Pursuit and Roadmaster PowerPlus are the full touring choices. They add a rear storage box, larger passenger accommodation and more equipment for long-distance journeys. Their Indian-market versions offer over 136 litres of weather-resistant storage, heated seats, heated grips, an electrically adjustable windscreen, remote-locking luggage and adjustable passenger floorboards. So yeah, they can reserve a few for us.

The Signature Series also retains the PowerPlus family’s extensive safety package including lean-sensitive ABS, traction control, electronically linked braking, bike hold control, blind-spot warning, tailgate warning and rear-collision warning lights. These systems sooo crucial on motorcycles that weigh well beyond 350kg.
