Hero MotoCorp enters Germany, expands presence to 53 global markets

Hero MotoCorp has officially entered the German market through a distribution partnership with Austria-based KSR Group.

The company has launched its Euro 5+ compliant XPulse 200 4V and the more off-road-focused XPulse 200 Pro.The standard XPulse 200 4V is priced at €2,990 (Rs 3.29 lakh), while the XPulse 200 Pro costs €3,290 (Rs. 3.62 lakh). The company will also offer a five-year warranty, comprising a standard three-year warranty and an additional two years as part of a launch offer.

Both motorcycles are powered by a 199.6cc, four-valve engine that produces 18.9bhp and 17.35Nm. They also come equipped with three ABS modes, Bluetooth-enabled turn-by-turn navigation, an LCD instrument cluster and LED projector headlamp.

The Pro version gets longer-travel fully adjustable suspension, higher ground clearance and a taller seat to improve off-road capability.

Hero MotoCorp will initially retail its motorcycles through more than 28 sales and service outlets across Germany, with plans to expand the network further.

With this move, Germany becomes the company’s fifth European market after the UK, France, Spain and Italy, while also taking its global presence to 53 countries.
