Honda XR 300L Dual-Sport Unveiled Before India Launch

  • India Launch soon
  • Prices and delivery timeline to be announced later
  • Will compete against the likes of the Royal Enfield Himalayan 450

After much speculation and anticipation, Honda has finally confirmed that it will be launching the XR 300L dual-sport motorcycle in India. The company unveiled the motorcycle at an event today, confirming its imminent India launch but the exact timeline, pricing, and availability details are yet to be revealed.

Going by its adventure-centric persona, it will compete against the likes of the Royal Enfield Himalayan 450, KTM 390 Adventure, and TVS Apache RTX. However, which ones are closest rivals will depend on the pricing. Considering the motorcycle will be heavily localized, it should come at an attractive price tag.

Powering the Honda XR 300L is a 293.5cc single-cylinder, oil-cooled engine that makes 26.9bhp and 26.6Nm. It is linked to a six-speed gearbox and the overall hardware is too quite purposeful.. It rides on a 21/18-inch spoke wheel combo, suspended on Showa suspension at both ends with 260mm travel. It has an impressive ground clearance of 244mm while having an accessible seat height of 830mm. Meanwhile, the braking setup includes a 256mm disc up front and a 220mm disc at the rear. Feature-wise, the XR 300L gets minimal equipment such as a switchable dual-channel ABS, LCD instrument console, and a 7.8-litre fuel tank.
