Honda Launches OBD2B-Compliant Hornet 2.0 at ₹1,56,953

New Look, Bluetooth Connectivity and Safety Improvements for Updated Model

The 2025 Hornet 2.0 has been launched in India by Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India (HMSI), and it is now compliant with OBD2B emission norms. That’s because the refreshed motorcycle brings new styling, new tech, and new safety features that reaffirm its status as a big player in the premium commuter space.

New Hornet 2.0 is priced at ₹1,56,953 (ex-showroom, Delhi) and is available across HMSI Red Wing and BigWing dealerships across the country.

Hornet 2.0 gets a new chapter

Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India Managing Director, President & CEO Mr. Tsutsumu Otani addressing at the launch event highlighted the longtime journey of the Hornet 2.0 since 2020.

Since its launch in August 2020, the Hornet 2.0 has been a segment-changing product. We’ve seen upgrades on the motorcycle over the years, including special MotoGP editions, all of which performed well. “The Hornet 2.0, compliant to OBD2B comes as an extension of this legacy as it delivers an enhanced riding experience along with advanced technology and safety,” added Otani.

Continuous Development & Connectivity

The 2025 Hornet 2.0 gets the following changes:

  • 4.2-inch TFT digital display with Bluetooth compatibility through Honda RoadSync app for rider access to navigation support, call alerts, and message notifications.
  • USB C-type charging port available for on the go connectivity.
  • New aggressive graphics for a sportier aesthetic.

HMSI Director — Sales & Marketing, Yogesh Mathur highlighted the performance-oriented upgrades to the motorcycle:

“The latest Hornet 2.0 features a new TFT display, Bluetooth, and safety features such as Honda Selectable Torque Control and Dual-Channel ABS, making it an ecstatic yet safe ride.”

Optimizations for Efficiency and Secure

Honda Hornet 2.0 Specifications The OBD2B-compliant Hornet 2.0 gets its power from a 184.40cc single-cylinder motor that makes 12.50 kW of power at 8500 RPM and 15.7 Nm of torque at 6000 RPM. It is mated to a 5-speed gearbox and is equipped with Assist & Slipper Clutch which would offer smoother gear shifts.

Safety has seen a major upgrade as well:

  • Honda Selectable Torque Control (HSTC) for enhanced traction.
  • Dual-Channel ABS, for increased braking capacity.

Color Choices & Market Positioning

The 2025 Hornet 2.0 will come in four bold colors:

  • Pearl Igneous Black
  • Radiant Red Metallic
  • Athletic Blue Metallic
  • Mat Axis Gray Metallic
